What You?ll Do
Oversee all aspects of the beer and wine category pricing, product mix, promotions, and inventory performance
Use category data insights to shape buying decisions, improve margins, and identify growth opportunities
Build and execute category strategies aligned with store-level goals and brand positioning
Negotiate with distributors and suppliers to maximize trade spend, advertising support, and new product pipelines
Lead seasonal resets, planograms, and promotional launches that boost visibility and conversion
Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Merchandising, and Operations to optimize placement and storytelling
Evaluate private label possibilities and new consumer trends within the alcohol segment
Partner with store leaders to ensure execution accuracy, compliance, and visual excellence
Mentor and manage merchandising associates, promoting ownership and performance accountability
Who You Are
Bachelor?s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related discipline
3+ years of experience in category management or retail leadership within the beer, wine, or alcohol industry
Strong background in supplier negotiation, assortment planning, and sales analysis
Knowledge of beverage industry standards, legal requirements, and merchandising best practices
Proficient in Excel, Power BI, or comparable category analytics tools
Skilled communicator and collaborator with a balance of strategy and operational detail
