Position Summary
Just 65 miles from Center City Philadelphia, Allentown is near many major Northeastern U.S. cities, which makes it an ideal location for manufacturing and distributing consumer goods. Weutilizethermal processing and high-speed canning to produce varieties of our Friskies,Beneful and Pro Plan brands product lines that we have carefully produced, packaged, and shipped since 1958. As aControls TechnicalSpecialist I,you?llbe responsible fortroubleshooting,maintaining, and enhancing the accuracy, reliability,and systemcontrol?sdata credibility of PLC and PC-based automation systems. In this role, you will oversee PLC upgrades and wiring modifications on productionequipment andwork directly with our maintenance team to troubleshoot and support production line modifications.
- Configure, program, and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controls (PLC)
- Perform preventive maintenance for controls and organize electrical/control parts inventory
- Provide programming and electrical support on plant capital projects
- Implement control systems software upgrade
- Provides instrumentation, PLC and HMI/SCADA software and hardware support to plant maintenance staff
- Assistwith training of maintenance personnel
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 3+ years of applicable experience in PLC software and hardware troubleshooting and/or PLC-based HMI systems in controls, automation, electrical, or industrial maintenance environments
OR
- Associate?s degree in a technical discipline
- 1+ years of applicable experience in PLC software and hardware troubleshooting and/or PLC-based HMI systems in controls, automation, electrical, or industrial maintenance environments
The approximate pay range for this position is $70,000 to $97,000 per year. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge,skillsand abilities as well as geographic location.
