The Judge Group is seeking a Senior Design Engineer for a manufacturing company located in the West Chester, PA area.
Title: Senior Design Engineer
Location: West Chester, PA
Salary: $100,000-$140,000
Responsibilities:
- Drive new product development from initial concept through production, while supporting ongoing sustaining engineering efforts
- Lead and review mechanical designs for valves, fittings, and related components with a focus on quality, cost, and manufacturability
- Evaluate customer requirements, specifications, and proposals to determine feasibility and application suitability
- Diagnose and resolve design, material, or process issues using root cause analysis
- Manage project scope, schedules, testing activities, and engineering changes
- Perform stress, flow, and basic FEA/CFD analyses to validate designs
- Develop and update 3D models and drawings using SolidWorks and legacy documentation
- Mentor and guide design engineers while collaborating with internal teams, customers, and suppliers
Qualifications:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering with 7+ years of product design experience in a manufacturing or regulated environment
- Background in fluid power or fluid control systems
- Proficiency with SolidWorks (AutoCAD experience a plus)
- Working knowledge of FEA, CFD, and compliance-driven design
- Strong project leadership, technical writing, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
